Deepa is a wife, mother, writer and she sometimes masquerades as a lawyer as well. She revels in friendship, humor, champagne, and laughing at herself--often. She never ever reads US Magazine, thinks Rushdie is a genius, wishes she could write one sentence as funny as "Arrested Development," and lives in the Bay Area with her motley crew. She can be reached at deviswithbabies@gmail.com
This is the most gorgeously illustrated one yet. Happy New Year.
Ugh. The writing is definitely on the wall. Bye bye 2008.
It's too much pressure on O. But I'm with you.
It's almost too much to believe that happened in one year. Onto better times...
Love it, it's exactly how I feel. I would run to jan 20 if I could.
Exactly right. But nobody will be dragging me, January 1st cannot come soon enough. I can't remember ever feeling like this at the end of the year. Almost proud that we've survivied it.
Beautiful illustration, best Obama-fied effect I've seen!
Nice commentary, and nice blog. But tell me: Aren't you setting yourself up for a mighty large fall to pin so many hopes onto one person?
"Pregorexia." Heh. Saw "Brown Girls" in Tehelka, first time visiting the site. You girls seem pretty Obama-obsessed but funny nonetheless. Looking forward to seeing what you do in 2009.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Am I the only one on Planet Earth who is excited about the new year? Let's put on our dancing shoes, forget about the economy, wear glitter (male or female), throw caution to the wind, run away from the shackles and the bailout and the fish pedicures and iraq and so much more and start newwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
I second "TH" - looks sick!
AWESOME.
2009 Here we come. Great piece.
Happy New Year to the Brown Girls, goodbye 2008 and good riddance...!
This is a gorgeous illustration!
Always ensure you choose a method that is proven to remove skin
tags without causing adverse effects and scarring.
Another available treatment option that can be done at home without a
prescription is a topical ointment. But since something was happening I decided to keep trying for a few more
nights.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all. However imagine if you added some
great graphics or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"!
Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this site could certainly be one
of the most beneficial in its field. Good blog!
